Head of People & Culture
Simucube is a game-changer in the world of sim racing and simulators. At the heart of Hervanta, Tampere, our skilled and warm-hearted team of 65 professionals creates products known for their top performance and high quality. We put people first, for real.
We're a community where everyone is known by name, not just by role, and the company is fully owned by our own people. The current holder of this role has decided to move on to new challenges, so we're now looking for their successor as Head of People & Culture.
We already have plenty of good practices and foundations in place. Now we need someone to nurture them and help us grow, both as people and as a company.
You'll report directly to our CEO, so your voice matters from day one in shaping where Simucube is headed.
The role in a nutshell
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Hervanta, Tampere. While we offer flexible working arrangements, we value working together on-site, and we expect this role to have a regular presence at the office.
The People team currently consists of you, the Talent Acquisition & Development Manager and the Office Manager.
The salary range is 5000-5500€, depending on your experience.
This recruitment process is anonymous (read more below).
As Head of People & Culture, you'll play a key role in:
The People team ensures Simucube remains a community where people can grow, contribute, and feel a sense of belonging. You'll lead that work and bring the people perspective into business planning. You'll work closely with managers who put practices into everyday action within their own teams, acting as an internal partner to leadership and the wider organization.
In practice, you'll build and drive a people & culture strategy that supports long-term business growth and goals. You'll develop and maintain HR policies, processes, and systems that support fair and transparent people practices, and design and guide company-wide wellbeing initiatives. You'll actively manage and evolve Simucube's culture so that values guide everyday decisions and interactions. As we grow, you'll also help think through how the organization evolves, things like team structures and role clarity, and support leadership through change.
You'll coach and support people managers on people-related matters. You'll ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and ethical standards, and bring major investment needs forward for approval, while acting independently within the agreed annual HR budget.
We believe this role will suit you if you:
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR, Psychology, Business, or a related field, or have equivalent experience, and have led a team with a genuine focus on people. You've built HR processes and culture programs in a growing organization, and understand employment legislation, compensation, and people analytics. Your background in coaching, leadership development, or organizational design is strong. If you've also helped an organization navigate change before, whether that's reshaping how teams are organized or scaling up, that's a real plus.
You lead by building deep trust and openness that lets people speak up, grow, and be themselves, and by helping others develop their own people wisdom. You see culture as a living system, balancing structure with organic growth, and you're genuinely curious about leadership, wellbeing, and human development.
In return, we offer you:
People-first culture We genuinely care about your well-being. It shows up in how we work, not just in what we say. We encourage regular breaks during the workday and offer a paid 30-minute mid-day stroll to recharge. You'll also enjoy a €400/year well-being allowance (covering sports, culture, and wellness), extensive occupational healthcare, and access to high-quality sports equipment for borrowing.
Real ownership You'll shape how Simucube grows, not just at the level of HR practices, but in how the company thinks about its people.
Flexibility and trust We trust you to manage your time. Enjoy flexible working hours and hybrid work options, along with access to top-notch tools and software.
Continuous learning We support your growth. From training programs to literature of your choice, we want every team member to keep developing their skills and stay curious.
